Until
you have heard a ghost belt out
songs like Marilyn Monroe singing
"Diamonds Are A Girl's Best
Friend" in the movie "Gentlemen
Prefer Blondes" (1953) singing
you to sleep one night. You Ain't
Heard Nothin Yet!
I
truly believe that ghosts choose
certain songs to sing because they
liked them or by us finding the
song and the lyrics know what they
are trying to say to us. The same
applies when hearing ghost music.
You should research the song and
listen to it over and over until
the message becomes clear. In this
day and age long dead singers can
be heard on radios world wide. who
is to say their words or not being
sung from beyond the grave.
"Even
in Gettysburg today a ghostly voice
has been heard singing "My
Old Kentucky Home" (originally
titled "Poor Uncle Tom, Good
Night!", and sometimes also
titled "My Old Kentucky Home,
Good-Night!"). The lyrics,
as originally composed by Foster.
Each night near the ghost of Gettysburg
Candle lite Haunted Tour Head Quarters
a small voice of a woman can be
heard.
Verse
1
The sun shines bright in the old
Kentucky home,
'Tis summer, the darkies are gay;
The corn-top's ripe and the meadow's
in the bloom,
While the birds make music all the
day.
The
young folks roll on the little cabin
floor,
All merry, all happy and bright;
By 'n' by Hard Times comes a-knocking
at the door,
Then my old Kentucky home, goodnight.
Chorus
Weep no more my lady
Oh! weep no more today!
We will sing one song for the old
Kentucky home,
For the Old Kentucky Home far away.
Verse 2
They hunt no more for the possum
and the coon,
On meadow, the hill and the shore,
They sing no more by the glimmer
of the moon,
On the bench by the old cabin door.
The
day goes by like a shadow o'er the
heart,
With sorrow, where all was delight,
The time has come when the darkies
have to part,
Then my old Kentucky home, goodnight.
Chorus
Verse 3
The head must bow and the back will
have to bend,
Wherever the darky may go;
A few more days, and the trouble
all will end,
In the field where the sugar-canes
grow;
A
few more days for to tote the weary
load,
No matter, 'twill never be light;
A few more days till we totter on
the road,
Then my old Kentucky home, goodnight.
Chorus
Revised lyrics
When the Kentucky General Assembly
adopted the song as the Commonwealth's
state song, some changes were made
to the first verse and chorus. Most
notably, the politically-incorrect
term "darkies" was replaced
with "people."
The
sun shines bright on my old Kentucky
home,
Tis summer, and people are gay;
The corn-top's ripe and the meadow's
in the bloom
While the birds make music all the
day.
The
young folks roll on the little cabin
floor
All merry, all happy and bright;
By'n by hard times comes a knocking
at the door
Then my old Kentucky home, Good-night!
Weep
no more my lady. Oh! Weep no more
today!
We will sing one song for my old
Kentucky home
For my old Kentucky home, far away.
Tradition
"My Old Kentucky Home"
is sung annually at the Kentucky
Derby with the accompaniment of
the University of Louisville marching
band. The tradition began sometime
between 1921 and 1930, by which
time it was established as the music
played while the horses are led
to the post parade. Churchill Downs,
home of the Derby, has, since 1982
held The Stephen Foster Handicap

The
Doors-The Ghost Song
"You Might
Just Learn How To Listen EVP"S
In A Different Way"!
By Lisa Lee Harp Waugh
Have
you ever heard a real ghost sing?
At
the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom
in Walt Disney World Animated Ghosts
can be heard singing and playing
music. But in Galveston, Texas a
real ghost seems to be getting a
following of it's own. Almost every
building on Galveston Island can
report some kind of haunting. Many
people from the area call me write
or tell me telling me they hear
ghost singing everything from Aerosmith
Dream On, to Chris Cagle - I Breathe
In, I Breathe Out. All these sining
ghost are heard in or around the
Galveston to Baytown Texas Area.
I
have and more them many ghosts over
the years sing more then once. I
have heard songs of prayer. Songs
of ages past, Rock N' Roll and even
recent Hip -Hop and Rap. The many
ghosts I contact are vocal that
haunt us I can attest. But so few
have tried the technique of playing
back their EVP"s at high speed.
A friend of mine and a great ghost
hunter D. Vega has presented me
with a speeded up long EVP session
to investigate. And on the tape
a ghost can be heard singing ....
Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode"!
In my 5th Ward Houston home I once
called a ghost up that sang two
George Strait songs to me. All my
ex's live in Texas, and You sure
got this ol' redneck feelin' blue
Lyrics very, very off key.Vega has
also collected ghost either singing...or
humming a little piece of some soft,
sad song on The Strand over the
past few months also.
The
world famous opera singer Adelina
Patti lived in Craig-y-nos castle,
South Wales and today it's considered
to be Wales most haunted castle.
After her death it was used as a
TB sanatorium for children for nearly
40 years and it is claimed that
the ghosts of many children who
died there are still to be heard
and seen. The place is the subject
of an ongoing paranormal investigation.
Many say they hear her warming up
her voice singing the scales.
In
the past year I have many times
visited The Strand in Galveston,
Texas. In a very haunted restaurant
I was called into to investigate
a signing ghost. I also was granted
permission to perform a Necromantic
Ritual to contact this spirit. The
actual restaurant does not want
to be mentioned in this article
but will allow me to tell you of
what goes on in recent months.
I
was sent an email from several people
passing by this business on late
nights after Dash Beardley's Ghost
Of Galveston Ghost Tour. Many to
me began reporting hearing singing
from the building. Word has spread
amongst south Texas community and
day by day the crowds grew larger
as people sought to hear the sounds
of the Texas ghost towns afterlife.
Galveston
is known for its historic neighborhoods
and a ten-mile (16 km) long, 17
foot high seawall designed to protect
the city from floods and hurricane
storm surge. In 1900, the island
was struck by a devastating hurricane.
Even post-Hurricane Katrina, this
event holds the record as the United
States' deadliest natural disaster.
In
the early morning of September 8,
high surf despite prevailing winds
out of the north heralded the oncoming
Storm. By noon low-lying areas near
the Gulf and the Bay side of the
city were taking on water and the
winds increased. Near 4 p.m. a storm
surge approximately 15 feet (5 m)
high slammed into the coast. According
to many personal accounts, the storm
subsided before midnight. Wind speeds
reached up to 125 mph (an estimate,
since the anemometer was blown off
the U.S. Weather Bureau building).
Isaac Cline was the bureau's chief
meteorologist. An account of the
events surrounding the hurricane
based on his personal records is
given in Isaac's Storm by Erik Larson.
The city was devastated, and an
estimated 6,000 to 8,000 people
on the island were killed.
Many
believe that this singing ghost
is a victim from the great storm.
A lost soul singing out a prayer
before they drowned that fateful
day.
These old hymns, from the turn of
the last century are sometimes heard
in whispers. On other (Especially
on nights of the full moon) nights
it is very loud and clear, as if
someone was standing by the window
of the building belting it out loud.
If you want to experience it for
yourself then you need to buck up
your courage and visit this the
real spooky place that is only Galveston.
The Ghost sings very clearly
Holy,
Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty.
A
Hymn written by John
Bacchus Dykes, written
in 1861.
Holy,
Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty
Text:
Reginald Heber
Music: John B. Dykes
Tune: NICAEA, Meter: 11 12.12 10
1.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall
rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
2. Holy,
holy, holy! All the saints adore
thee,
casting down their golden crowns
around the glassy sea;
cherubim and seraphim falling down
before thee,
which wert, and art, and evermore
shalt be.
3. Holy,
holy, holy! Though the darkness
hide thee,
though the eye of sinful man thy
glory may not see,
only thou art holy; there is none
beside thee,
perfect in power, in love and purity.
4. Holy,
holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name,
in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity.
University
of Texas Medical Branch
Galveston, Texas, United States
It
is said that the property on which
the University of Texas Medical
Branch was once owned by a fisherman.
The university wanted the property,
but the man would not budge. Finally
after he died, the school acquired
the property. It is said that on
the back of the wall facing Galveston
Bay, one can see the face of the
man. The walls have been sand-blown
and painted. The building has been
torn down and rebuilt. Street lights
have been moved. Still, the face
continues to appear. Many EVP's
from the area that Vega has recorded
also have a singing ghostly voice.
You
can't hear the ghost unless you
the recoding is played at high speed
it sings Old
Rugged Cross.
"The
Old Rugged Cross" (1913)
Words and Music by George Bennard,
1873-1958
On a hill far away stood an old
rugged cross,
The emblem of suff'ring and shame;
And I love that old cross where
the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinnners was
slain.
CHORUS
So I'll cherish the old (cross)
rug-ged (the) cross, (old rugged
cross,)
Till me trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old (cross,)
rug-ged (the) cross, (old rugged
cross,)
And exchange it some day for a crown.
2.
O that old rugged cross, so despised
by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His
glory above
To bear it dark Calvary.
(CHORUS)
3.
In the old rugged cross, stained
with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see;
For 'twas on that old cross Jesus
suffered and died
To pardon and sactify me.
(CHORUS)
4.
To the old rugged I will ever be
true,
Its shame and reproach gladly I
bear;
Then He'll call me some day to my
home far away,
Where His glory forever I'll share.
(CHORUS)
Ghosts
taste in Music varies to many different
levels. Here are a few songs that
have been reported in the Galveston
Texas area being heard on or near
the Strand. If you have any ideas
of what the ghosts sining these
songs mean please let me know! Some
have suggested these songs are signs
of things to come to the area. I
have been promted to post these
videos here for you to view and
try to understand what these galveston
ghosts are trying to tell us. In
no way do I think these are some
of the dead singers sending us word
from the other side. I believe it
is messages for many of the people
who these spirits are trying to
haunt and get a message to. I also
am posting a few that have been
sung to me by ghosts in the last
month.

LEE HARP WAUGH
Waugh
is a American necromancer in the
21st century. She is by what may
call a real conduit to the world
of the dead. She dressers in ceremonial
robes, draws magical circles on
the floor and commands spirits from
Heaven, Hell and all places in between
to appear before her and communicate
with the living. As a teenager she
studied heavily The Black Arts by
Richard Cavendish and The Grand
Grimoire by A.E Waite, the Malleus
Maleficarum and anything she could
get her hands on by the great by
Eliphas Levi, John Dee and the great
beast, Aleister Crowley.

A
professional Necromancer and founder
of the Sorcerers Guild of greater
Houston, Texas. Waugh has been practicing
and conducting rituals for many
paranormal investigators for over
20 years. Waugh also paints many
spiritual and common murals and
lives in a small Texas town with
her three dogs. She also over the
years makes ceremonial candles and
is active in ghost hunting in the
deep South. Summoning the dead to
communicate with the living is a
natural daily occurrence for Waugh.
"I have been doing this since
I was a child." " When
I lived in Galveston, Texas about
15 years ago, I was introduced to
the ancient rights of ceremonial
Necromancy as a ritual by a great
shaman called Freebird, and because
of him and his diligence to the
art, I still practice it until this
day." "However, if a spirit
has something vital to impart to
you, they will call upon you, not
vice-versa and no ritual is needed".
She
then Got involved with the local
Hoodoo Voodoo's of the area and
new doors where opened to her concerning
communicating with the dead.
Waugh
was baptized and trained in the
secret dark religion by Bianca The
Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. Waugh
lived in New Orleans for 3 years
until she learned all about spells,
hex's and how to hoodoo voodoo people
as she says.
Waugh
also owned and managed the fantastic
Candle Making Company in Galveston,
Texas for many years that catered
to the eclectic patrons taste of
many of the states visitors and
just curious. She then moved to
Houston's Famous Vodoun area 5th
ward. This now where she resides
to this day. Her home today is a
testimony to Necromancy and her
new found religion of Voodoo Hoodoo.
Necromantic
practitioners such as Waugh conducts,
and entails respect and reverence
not only for the spirits of the
dead, but for the spirits of Hell,
Heaven and all places in between.
Waugh has a large home one room
she has painted black where she
calls the good spirits. Another
painted all black where she calls
the infernal spirits.
Waugh
is often compared today in her facial
features and many similar practices
as being a modern Dr. John Dee.
He of course was one of the most
fascinating characters of the Elizabethan
period just as Waugh is recognized
as such in modern times. The events
of Dee's life are filled with science,
experiments, astrology and mathematics
which he aligned with magic, the
supernatural and alchemy! All of
which is Waugh's personal passion
and driven honest beliefs. These
are also stead fast traditions she
does and true in practicing openly.
A few of her select followers say
she is the actual reincarnation
of John Dee. Waugh also practices
astrology, and is very continuously
studying the Black Arts.
Waugh,
a real big hearted Texas gal does
not comment on any of this privately
or publicly ... for she is humble
in her paranormal studies and research
to the core. Gina Lanier a close
friend of her's relates: "Waugh
is a very outgoing friendly, charming
and a downright loveable person,
and gets along equally well with
the living and the dead." Lanier
and Waugh once investigated a real
Haunted Texas Federal Prison together
for close to two years in the early
1990's and had many startling paranormal
adventures while there.
Lisa
Lee Harp Waugh's accomplishments
have been achieved through hard
work, persistence, and a goal-oriented
attitude required to overcome obstacles
and reach difficult goals. Waugh
shares her approach to communicating
with the dead's success in this
motivational performance that's
sure to inspire Paranormal Investigators
to excel in.

that next important breakthrough,
we have a responsibility to share
our findings with other researchers
over the world. We would like to
help break down the barriers that
exist between many of today's researchers
to ultimately work together to reach
our common goal. It is imperative
that controlled EVP research is
